Petals & Paws’ monthly bird walk was held on Saturday June 22nd. Led by Audubon Society members, participants enjoyed a leisurely walk on Meadow Road and along the Farmington River where they located and identified forty different species of birds. Highlights of this week’s sightings included Common Merganser, Eastern Bluebird, Cedar Waxwing, Cliff Swallow, Eastern Kingbird and Yellow Warbler. Bird walks conclude with a visit to the Canton Creamery for a complimentary ice cream treat, and all walkers also receive a 10% discount on their bird related purchases at Petals & Paws for the day.
The next bird walk will be on Saturday July 13th. Walkers meet in the Petals & Paws parking lot at 7:30 AM.
