Serial Bank Robber Sought by Police; Reward in Place for Info

After bank robberies occurred in Cheshire and six other towns, police released photographs and identifying details about the suspect.

A string of bank robberies has law enforcement in seven towns seeking a suspect they believe is responsible for all the alleged robberies.

The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Banks in the following towns reported robberies:

  • July 27: Branford
  • August 12: Cheshire
  • August 13: Berlin
  • August 17: Deep River
  • August 18: Milford
  • August 31: Wethersfield
  • September 3: Durham

The Berlin Police Department released the following identifying information on the suspect via Facebook.

  • Vehicle: older, gray/green Honda Civic, most likely a 1996-1998 model
  • Heavy front-end damage with the front bumper missing
  • Passenger-side damage and a loud exhaust
  • Green vehicle seen in the area of the Durham robbery

Description of Suspect

  • White man
  • Tall
  • Thin with athletic build
  • Suspect’s clothes worn in each robbery: shorts, baseball cap, sunglasses
  • Speaks or pretends to speak on a cell phone throughout alleged robberies
