Danbury Nanny Accused of Horrific Abuse Rejects Plea: Report
Video footage recorded on a nanny cam allegedly showed the nanny force-feeding a 3-year-old girl, slapping the toddler and burning her.

DANBURY, CT — A nanny accused of badly abusing three young children rejected a plea deal on Wednesday and will face a jury trial, according to The News Times.
Lidia Quilligana, 32, was offered a 25-year prison sentence, suspended after 17 years with a mandatory minimum of 10 years but rejected the offer, the paper reported.
Prosecutors review video footage recorded on a nanny cam that allegedly showed Quilligana force-feeding a 3-year-old girl, slapping the toddler, jumping the girl and pressing her hands and leg against a stove burner. The nanny is also accused of abusing the 1-year-old twin siblings in her care.
Quilligana faces 23 counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of first-degree assault, all felonies, The News Times reported.
Quilligana is due next in court on July 12, 2016.
