Widow of Danbury Man Killed in Metro-North Crash Suing Railroad

The lawsuit was filed April 29.

The widow of Aditya Tomar, the Danbury man who was one of the six people killed in a deadly Metro North crash in February is suing for $25 million, NBC Connecticut reports.

His widow, Reshma Persaud is suing Metro-North railroad, Westchester County and the town of Mount Pleasant

According to NBC, Tomar suffered burns, fractures to his skull, ribs and extremities and lacerations to his brain, heart and lungs. The lawsuit makes the claim that he suffered from mental and physical pain prior to his death.

Persaud is suing for damages pertaining to her husband’s injuries, medical and funeral expenses and loss of income and support, NBC reports.
