Last weekend the Porter’s cross country team went with a clear mission to Suffield’s Gordon Glover Invitational: beat the other six teams. The Green Machine placed three runners in the top nine, and the final two scoring runners both placed in the top twenty-five. The team didn’t let the rainy and sloppy conditions bother them as each runner stayed focused and fought hard for the team, and those efforts paid off in an overall victory. This is the first time that Porter’s has won the Gordon Glover Invitational, and the team looks to build on their victory with another strong race against Williston at our home course at AOF this weekend.
