The Farmington Land Trust will sponsor a Nature Walk on Saturday, June 2nd, as part of this year’s CT Trails Day. Join in the fun, fresh air, exercise and education with a 1.5 mile hike on Land Trust properties right here in Farmington.

The walk starts on the Land Trust’s historic Carey parcel, right off Mountain Spring Road. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Carey garage, the second driveway on right, going north on Mountain Spring Road from Rte 4, where limited parking is available.
Join Land Trust Board Members Bill Novoa and Mike Lecours and Executive Director Tina Delaney on an informal walk of the land trust parcels. Learn the histories of these parcels and see the wildlife, native plants and trees encountered along the trail. The route will touch six parcels owned by the Land Trust and include a climb to the top of the Metacomet Ridge.
The trail is moderate with a level start and some steep spots, rising to a sweeping overlook of the Farmington/Pequabuck River Valley.
This event is Freee and open to the public. Pre-Registration is appreciated. Rain or Shine. No pets please.
