Farmington Museum To Host 'Lovely,' Historical Walking Tours

The tours of Lovely Street's architecture start June 11 and continue through July 19.

FARMINGTON, CT — A new exhibit and walking tour focused on Unionville’s Lovely Street architecture and history will be opened to the public on Sunday, June 11, for the opening event.

The free tour will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and subsequent tours will take place regularly through mid-July.

The program includes the opening of the Unionville Museum’s exhibit titled "Lovely Street’s Historic Homes and the Impact of its Early Residents on Unionville" and a complementary guided walking tour highlighting the architecture of the town’s Lovely Street.

It is sponsored by the Unionville Museum and the Unionville Historic District and Properties Commission.

The event is free to the public. All are welcome to the museum for exhibit viewing and for
refreshments.

Attendance for the 1 ½-hour walking tour is limited and registration is required at
https://qrco.de/bdvlYm.

The walking tour will begin at the Unionville Museum at 2:30 pm.

The special Lovely Street exhibit will be open through July 16 at the Unionville Museum, 15 School Street, Unionville, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (2 to 4 p.m.).

Additional guided walking tours will be available on Sundays (June 25 and July 19) and Wednesdays (June 21; July 5; and July 19). Registration is required for the walking tours.
