History Again Lies Ahead for Farmington Golfer

Suzy Whaley is on target to become president of the PGA.

As the first female officer in the history of the Professional Golfers Association of America, Suzy Whaley of Farmington has assembled an impressive resume both on and off the course.

If history holds true to form, Whaley will make history again in 2018, as she stands to become the first female president of the PGA, the Hartford Courant reported.

Her election as secretary of the organization last fall puts her in line to assume the vice presidency in 2016, then president two years later.
