State Tournaments: Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, Granby Advance

State tournament action got underway Monday for girls soccer and girls volleyball, and seven teams from the Farmington Valley are moving onto the second round.

Simsbury, Farmington and Avon all won their opening round soccer matches, while the Trojans and Falcons were also victorious in girls volleyball.

Farmington and Granby Memorial drew first-round byes in volleyball.
