Tournament Scene: Seven More Wins for Farmington Valley Teams
Canton field hockey advances to semifinals, while six other squads qualify for quarterfinal action.

Thursday was another banner day for the Farmington Valley in state tournament play, as seven teams advanced in field hockey, boys soccer and girls volleyball.
Canton field hockey made it to the Class S semifinals, while the Warriors made it to the quarterfinals in Class S boys soccer.
Farmington and Avon each picked up wins in boys soccer and girls volleyball, while Simsbury was victorious in boys soccer. Each of those teams advanced to the quarterfinal round.
