Wednesday, December 3
Varsity Basketball vs Master’s School: W 41-21
Recap: Sophomore Evie Perez’s 23 points propelled Porter’s to a 41-21 victory over the Master’s School on Thursday. The varsity basketball team pulled ahead early, claiming a 27-13 lead at the half. Perez led the team’s offense, going 8-for-14 (57%) from the field while also sinking 50% (6-for-12) of free throws attempted. Also contributing for Porter’s were Paige Canace ‘16 (5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals), Mary Santos ‘15 (4 points), Julia Harrell ‘17 (4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block), Meredith McLaughlin ‘16 (3 points, 1 rebound) and Katie Maher ‘15 (2 points, 5 rebounds, 9 steals). Porter’s finished the game with 42 rebounds (24 offensive/18 defensive), one block and 22 steals.

Varsity Swimming & Diving vs Hotchkiss: W 112-72

Sunday, December 7
Varsity Equestrian: AVSS
Recap: Porter’s takes 1st place for the Upper School Team on Sunday at Avon Valley Show Stables. Catherine Ferri ‘16 had a refusal over fences but came back with a 3rd on the flat in the Open division. Susu McGrady ‘18 got 3rd over fences, and 1st on the flat in the Intermediate division. This qualified her for regionals on the flat and over fences. Chloe Rosichan ‘17 scored 4th over fences when she stuck with a tough ride, earning 1st place on the flat in the Novice division. This also qualified her for regionals in both flat and fences. Gretchen Willmuth ‘18 and Katy Perry ‘17 had a one-two punch with 4th and 5th respectively in the Beginner class.
