Recap: Porter’s started the season with three new personal records set by two athletes. Victoria Apuzzo ‘17 set a new record in the 3000 meters and Bri Gambacini ‘17 set a new record in both the long jump and the triple jump! Porter’s also had many stellar performances by new athletes to the team. Freshman Sydni Scott 18 placed second in the long jump, fifth in the 100 meter dash, and was part of the third place 4 by 100 meter relay. Molly Kozlowski ‘16 placed first in the 1500 meters and second in the 3000 meters. Sam Houle ‘17 ran an aggressive first official 400 meter dash and placed second in a competitive field. She also was part of both relay teams that placed third. Finally, Evelyn Lewis ‘18 placed fourth in the triple jump.

Varsity Track & Field vs. Loomis & Greens Farms: L Porter’s 17 Loomis: 132 Greens Farms: 28
Recap: Porter’s track and field traveled to Loomis Chaffee on Saturday afternoon to compete against Loomis and Greenwich Academy. Overall it was a great team effort with outstanding performances from the five point scorers: Bri Gambacini ‘17, Kamille Bernard ‘17, Molly Kozlowski ‘16, Emily Wogelius ‘17, and Victoria Apuzzo ‘17. Three of these point scorers won their events. Kamille Bernard ‘17 won the 100 meter dash, Molly Kozlowski ‘16 won the 1500 meters, and Emily Wogelius ‘17 won the 800 meters.
