Ray Dalio's 'Principles' Debuts This Week
The Greenwich resident and billionaire founder of Bridgewater Associates has been living and working by this code for decades.

GREENWICH, CT — For decades, Greenwich resident Ray Dalio, founder of the world's largest hedge fund Westport-based Bridgewater Associates, has been living and working by a set of guiding principles that he has been refining over the years. And on Tuesday, Simon & Schuster will publish that wisdom in a 600-page book simply called "Principles," reports Bloomberg.
Dalio, Connecticut's wealthiest resident and its most philanthropic, stepped down from his management role at the company earlier this year, and he sees the book - and a second upcoming one about his personal investment strategies - as another way to give back.
“I believe in specifying one’s principles clearly," Dalio told authors Katherine Burton and Saijel Kishan. "I believe in radical truth and radical transparency to achieve meaningful work and meaningful relationships. I wish it existed all over. I wish it existed in Washington. It’s the reason for our success—not me. I want to make it clear to pass it along, and then disappear.”
