Tennis Courts To Reopen In Greenwich With Restrictions
Town officials also provided an update on the number of Greenwich residents who have tested positive for the new coronavirus thus far.
GREENWICH, CT — Tennis courts will begin to reopen in Greenwich on Friday, May 15, with some restrictions. In an announcement Wednesday, First Selectman Fred Camillo said tennis courts at Binney, Bruce and Byram parks, as well as Greenwich High School, will be open for singles-only play.
Doubles tennis and pickle ball will not be permitted at any courts. Residents with either a 2019 or 2020 tennis pass will be able to reserve courts online. Further details on tennis court use can be found here.

Numbers Update
The number of Greenwich residents who have tested positive for the new coronavirus has risen to 736 as of Wednesday, May 13, according to Greenwich Health Department Director Caroline Baisley. That number is seven more than the 729 positive cases reported by town officials on Monday, May 11.

Town officials also noted 42 Greenwich residents have died from the virus, also referred to as COVID-19, as of Sunday, May 10, according to the state Department of Public Health. That number has not risen from the data reported Monday.
Additionally, Greenwich Hospital reports that, as of Wednesday, there were 40 patients who tested positive for the virus being treated in several different units of the facility, town officials said.
So far, 459 patients have been discharged from the hospital and continue their recuperation at home. To date, 5,966 people have been tested at the hospital, with 1,802 people testing positive, town officials said.
All of these numbers reflect both patients who live in Greenwich and patients from other areas in Connecticut, as well as Westchester County, N.Y., town officials said.
