His father, Nick Fradiani Sr. said words can’t describe how proud he is of his son, while his mother added that she has such a “sense of pride” for what her son has achieved through his hard work.
The video by Fox showed Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy at a pep rally with Fradiani at Guilford High School, and Nick stopped by Bishops Orchard to enjoy some ice cream they named after him, “Fradiani Frenzy.”
As Fradiani came upon the Guilford Green, which included 10,000 fans, he said he was beyond words, according to the video footage.
“It’s a moment I’ll never forget the rest of my life,” Nick said.
In a touching moment, Nick Sr. who is also a musician, performed on stage with his son during Friday’s concert.
“I’ve never been prouder to be your father,” Nick Fradiani Sr. said in the footage Idol aired Wednesday night.
“This is the best day of my life,” Nick Jr. said.
Before Idol, Nick said he and his band, Beach Avenue, of Milford, struggled just to fill a bar, and it’s amazing how things have changed.
By finishing in the top 5, Nick is at least assured of going out on tour with the remaining Idol finalists.
Before Wednesday’s live show Nick wrote the following on social media.
“I owe all these amazing experiences to all of you. So thank you! I need you guys to come through big time for me the next few weeks. To get me into the finale please vote at www.americanidol.com/vote (20) and Google search American idol vote for another 20 votes!,” Fradiani wrote.
This isn’t Fradiani’s first time at the reality TV rodeo. He auditioned for America’s Got Talent last year with his Milford band, Beach Avenue, bandmates, performing original songs.
