Unified Sports to Be Featured at QU Women’s Basketball Game

Special Olympics Unified Sports® Will Be Featured at the Quinnipiac University Women's Basketball Game, February 4th

Special Olympics athletes of all abilities will “Play Unified” at half-time during the Quinnipiac University Women’s Basketball Game at TD Bank Sports Arena on Sunday, February 4th. The Arena is located at 305 Sherman Avenue in Hamden, and the game starts at noon. For tickets, visit QuinnipiacBobcats.com. During half-time at the Quinnipiac University vs. Iona College game, high school basketball players from Norwich Free Academy who participate in the Special Olympics Unified Sports® program and will represent Connecticut at the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle Washington in July, will play an exhibition game.

Also during half-time, the Eugene Singer, CPA Award will be presented to Quinnipiac Student and Special Olympics Intern Kathryn Pereira. The Award is presented annually to the Quinnipiac University “Intern of the Year” for her or his contributions and service to Special Olympics Connecticut.
