Hartford Housing Authority rebrands as Capital City Communities (wtnh.com) — Hartford residents should know their public housing authority has officially rebranded as Capital City Communities, unveiling a new name and logo that nods to the Hartford Whalers. City leaders say the change reflects a renewed focus on strengthening neighborhoods and addressing the city's significant housing needs, highlighted by a long waiting list for affordable units.
   

2. Marathon runners raising money for Hartford Arch (wtnh.com) — Hartford's iconic Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park is turning 140, and this year's marathon finish line is helping raise money for needed masonry and bridge repairs. The Bushnell Park Conservancy's director is running the race herself to spotlight the cause, while organizers roll out new medals, family runs, and a call for local volunteers.
   

3. Tony Winner J. Harrison Ghee Drops Out of Touring Cast of 'Oh, Mary!' (sfist.com) — Hartford will host the kickoff of the national tour of the Tony-winning play Oh, Mary! this weekend, even as lead performer J. Harrison Ghee steps away for health reasons. Broadway veteran John-Andrew Morrison will step into the role of Mary's husband before the production moves on to other cities, giving local theater fans an early look at this much-talked-about show.
   

4. Renowned film composer Hans Zimmer performing in Connecticut in February 2027 (fox61.com) — Hartford movie-music fans can look ahead to February 17, 2027, when Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer brings his "Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level" tour to PeoplesBank Arena. The show promises a full band, dramatic lighting, and scores from films like The Dark Knight and The Lion King, with ticket presales and general sales set for late September.
