Gary Roy and Maryann Mihalyo of the World War II Legacy Foundation are on a misson to find a home for a WWII Museum for their collection of World War II memorabilia. They aleady have a WWII Travelling Museum which displays military equipment and items items used on fronts in Europe and the Pacific WWII wars. Inside the traveling museum displays are detailed and carefully and lovingly displayed.

But that mobil large trailer is only the start of their plans to display their large collection of what they have about WWII.

On Sunday November 10th a World War II Museum Open House demonstration at 102 Pitkin St. in East Hartford was for Mihalyo and Roy’s dream of a Connecticut World War II Museum, Research & Education Center to become available:

On Saturday November 9th they presented their third annual World War II Reunion, a gathering to recognize the contributions of all WWII veterans, give thanks for their service, and remember those who are no longer with us. Military displays, appetizers, raffle chances and a buffet luncheon took place at the Hillstown Grange. Some remaining WWII veterans, all in their late 90s and even 100 years and older were there!

The World War II Legacy Foundation is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit with donations tax deductible. For more information, contact Gary Roy (860) 810-8736
