Hidden Gems Of Hartford And Tolland Counties: 9/11 Memorials

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT — To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorists attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and the related plane crash in Pennsylvania, the Hidden Gems series is taking a look at the 9/11 memorials set up around the region.

The memorials include remnants of one of the World Trade Center towers and some, like at the Manchester Firefighters Memorial Garden, pay tribute to those who died in the line of duty in other incidents as well.
