Laotian Veterans Monument Will Be Recognized

Saturday At Veteran's Park In Middletown

The SGU, or the Special Guerrilla Unit National Monument dedication will take place Saturday October 13th in Middletown's Veteran's Park on Walnut Grove Road in front of The Greater Middletown Military Museum which is next to the Ct. Trees Of Honor Memorial.

  • 9-930am: Breakfast for all! 10-10.30am: All Guest VIP, Senior Military and all Veterans arrive
  • 10:30am: Color Guard, by the first company Governor Foot Guard, SGU. And American Legion Color Guard, All the Troops Marching up to Monument
  • 10:45am: All 4 Flags up to the Top Poles and National anthem (American) By the band of First Company Governor Foot Guard, then Lao National Anthem, by all SGU Troops. Also a Cannon hold 3 round by The First Litchfield Artillery Regiment, Commander Captain John Harrison former BS2 Pilots during the Vietnam War And The moment of silence during Taps. It will be played by SGT. Mal Holland from the first company Governor foot guard Ban, for MIA/POW
  • 10.50am. -11.00am SGU. Commander Open Ceremonies Remark.
  • 11.00am. -12.00pm VIP, special Guest, CIA, Senior Veterans and advisor of SGU, representative of SGU. Came from other state.
  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony by VIP, CIA, present two Wreaths(flower) lA/POW and 5 Brands of US. Military
  • Venrable Phra Ajarhn Bounthanh Prasavath (Buddhist Monk) Prayer
  • Present Gift, Certificate for Honorary
  • 12.30PM. Break for Lunch (after Lunch) Taking pictures all together = Bring all VIP, special Guess, senior veterans to visit Booth, Then of SGU Lao and /Lao Among Veterans Family. Information was provided by SGU National Monument Committee
