Dear Editor:
Senator Dante Bartolomeo is one of the state’s top champions when it comes to protecting children, families, and the environment. As legislative co-chair of the Committee on Children and a member of the Committee on Education, she has emerged as a dynamic leader and trusted go-to for her constituents on a range of issues.

Dante is leading the fight to eliminate toxic flame-retardant chemicals in children’s clothing; she is working to ban toxic recycled tire rubber from being used as ground cover in playgrounds and at schools; and she consistently works to reduce the use of pesticides that are poisonous to wildlife and human health.
She faces a misguided challenge for re-election in a year where wealthy interests are more concerned about taking control of the state senate than supporting a legislator who has fought for her constituents’ health and safety.

The residents in her district are fortunate to have Dante Bartolomeo getting things done at the Capitol. She has a perfect 100-percent pro-environment voting record, an unwavering commitment to her job, and a solid record of leadership. For these reason, we are proud to support Dante Bartolomeo for re-election to the Connecticut General Assembly on November 8.
