Local Roads to be Impacted by Movember 5K

The Hartford Marathon Foundation will produce the Movember 5K on November 13, 2016, in the communities of Portland and Middletown. With up to 1,500 runners expected for the race, please be aware of traffic impact and limited road closures affecting the area from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m,

The following will be closed to all vehicles:

• One Westbound Lane on Route 17/66 (Arrigoni Bridge), 10:00 a.m. until 10:25 a.m.
• Harbor Drive in Middletown, 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The following will remain open for use by vehicles and race participants both. Please expect minor delays and use caution:

• Portland: 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
  • Brownstone Avenue
• Middletown, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
  • Spring Street
  • High Street
  • Williams Street
  • DeKoven Drive (William Street – Union Street)
  • Union Street (DeKoven Drive – Harbor Drive)

The Hartford Marathon Foundation makes every effort to minimize the impact of the race on local roads and neighborhoods while bringing runners in to enjoy the Portland and Middletown communities. Please seek alternate routes during the race if impacted. A detailed course map is also available here.

Additionally, runners are being asked to bring non-perishable food donations for the HMF Can food drive to benefit the Amazing Grace Food Pantry.
