Middletown Mayor Chief Of Staff Resigns

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Mayor Dan Drew's chief of staff resigned Wednesday after less than three months in the position.
Geoffrey Luxenberg served as Drew's campaign manager during his 2011 re-election campaign and is a former state legislator and political consultant, according to the Middletown Press.
The State Elections Enforcement Commission will investigate Drew's gubernatorial campaign after complaints about donation solicitations that were sent to city employees.

Trumbull First Selectman and Republican gubernatorial hopeful Tim Herbst said the commission should investigate if Luxenberg worked on Drew's campaign while being paid to work for the city.
