Middletown Would Lose Big Under Malloy's New Budget Proposal
Middletown would see a reduction in state aid under Gov. Dannel Malloy's budget proposal that was released Monday.

MIDDLETOWN, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
Middletown would receive 4 percent - or $1.3 million less under Malloy's plan. Previously it was slated to get $32.64 million; now, $31.34 million.
