Middletown's Nekita Waller is Ct’s 17th State Troubadour!

Starting August 1st

Nekita Waller, a Singer from Middletown, will be Connecticut’s 17th state troubadour. Waller is the first African-American solo artist to take on the role. Here is a news release on the The Courant! (Picture above is from this article!) She begins her term on Aug. 1 and will succeed Kate Callahan, who took the spot in 2016. Troubadour Kate Callahan performed this spring at The Russell Library!

Another Middletown Native who was from Middletown was Tom Callinan who is still very involved with Veterans Events. Here is: One Of Many At The Russell Library! Tom has also been the Troubadour at many Ct. Trees Of Honor Events including: The Statue Of Sgt. Stubby!
