There are some important events taking place in Middletown, CT this Saturday April 1st. Senator Richard Blumenthal will be holding a Town Hall meeting at Wesleyan University. He plans to discuss attempts to defund Planned Parenthood, the pending Gorsuch nomination, the American Health Care Act and other topics. Senator Blumenthal firmly stands with Planned Parenthood and for abortion on demand. His town hall event is open to the public. We welcome concerned citizens who value the protection of the preborn to make their presence known at this event. There will likely be abortion rights supporters coming with signs to encourage Blumenthal to continue to fund Planned Parenthood. Please feel free to make signs expressing your beliefs and what you would like to see our Senator do. The Women's March of CT is a state chapter of the pro-woman, pro-abortion march that took place this past January. The event is aimed at providing individuals with connections to community groups and social service organizations in our city. Part of the focus of this event is helping people fight for 'reproductive rights'. NARAL Pro-Choice CT, a group that released a false report titled, 'CT Pregnancy Centers- A Right to Lie' will have a booth at this event. Other community groups that ABC has partnered with in serving women and families in our area will be there as well. ABC Women's Center was not invited to participate along with the other health care and community service organizations. We invite those who support our mission to attend this event.
