UPDATED: Search for 7-Month-Old Aaden Moreno Will Cease at Nightfall; Resume Wednesday
Local dive teams assisted and helicopters were provided for the search of the Connecticut River, near the Arrigoni Bridge.

The search for missing 7-month-old Aaden Moreno will continue until nightfall Tuesday, July 7, Middletown Police reported in a press release.
The recovery operation will not take place overnight and will be resumed the morning of Wednesday, July 8. Surface searches of the Connecticut River will take place, police said.

Aaden Moreno’s father, Tony Moreno, reportedly called family on the phone on Sunday and talked about jumping off the Arrigoni Bridge in Middletown. The person Moreno spoke to told police they heard Aaden in the background.

When police arrived, they reported seeing Moreno jump from the bridge, but did not see Aaden. A search for the baby was conducted and is now being classified as a recovery.
The following dive teams assisted in the search:
- Middletown Fire Department
- South Fire District of Middletown
- Hartford Police
- East Hartford Police
- West Hartford Police
- Glastonbury
- Rocky Hill
- South Windsor
- State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
State Police and Homeland Security also provided helicopters to assist with the search. Hypack Inc. of Middletown provided side scan sonar with a trained operator.
