Suspects, Vehicle Sought In Wendy’s Armed Robbery: Middletown Police

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police have released surveillance images of the suspects and suspect vehicle in connection with the armed robbery of Wendy’s late Monday night in Middletown.

Police responded to the restaurant at 950 Washington St. around 11:30 p.m. on March 27 on the report of an armed robbery.

Arriving officers found that one suspect forced his way into the restaurant after an employee unlocked the door for a drive-thru order, according to police.

Police said the suspect grabbed the manager and threatened her with a knife. He demanded that the manager open the restaurant safe and give him the cash, according to police.

A second suspect was present but remained at the entry door waiting, police said. A patron of the restaurant told police that the second suspect was holding a gun.

No injuries were reported, and the suspects left the area.

Police said the suspect vehicle “appears to be a two-door Toyota or Mazda with a sunroof.”

One of the suspects, pictured, removed a portion of his mask while inside, revealing his face, according to police.
