Milford's Single-Stream Recycling Program: Let's Make it Successful!
Milford's Single-Stream Recycling: For the program to be completely successful, every household needs to participate, and therefore everyone's questions and concerns must be addressed.

The city of Milford will officially launch a new single-stream recycling program on August 1st. As I have walked around the city talking to my fellow Milford residents, I’ve discovered that there are still many unanswered questions about this new program. Seniors are especially concerned about the size and manageability of the new bins, and are worried about how they will maneuver the 96-gallon containers through the snow and sleet that we will undoubtedly have to contend with this winter.
Due to the influx of questions and concerns, I want to do my part to make sure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible. To that end, I am reaching out to my fellow citizens in order to learn more about your thoughts on the single-stream recycling program. I encourage all residents to provide me with their feedback – please take a moment to fill out my online survey at: www.blakeformilford.com/survey
We are excited to launch this new single-stream service which will save money for our city, reduce waste, and make us a “greener” community, but in order for this program to be completely successful every household will need to participate. Therefore we will need to make sure all the questions and concerns are quickly addressed. It’s imperative that this program works for everyone.
