Coronavirus In CT: More Positive Tests Reported Across State
New positive tests for the coronavirus have been reported in other parts of Connecticut. Here is an update on all reported cases.
CONNECTICUT — Good morning Connecticut, thankfully it’s the weekend. We've all just experienced a week like no other in our lifetime.
As the world’s attention remains on the new coronavirus, we’ve spent a lot of time focusing on the number of reported cases, especially the number of confirmed cases here at home. But in reality, the true number of positive tests will likely never be known as folks exhibiting symptoms are not all able to be tested promptly.
This is why health officials both here and across the globe are urging folks to wash their hands often, and at least for 20 seconds, practice social distancing, and if you don’t feel well, then self-quarantine at home. And most importantly, if you’ve been exposed to someone who has exhibited symptoms or tested positive then to self-quarantine at home for 14 days to ensure you don’t pass the virus onto someone else.
