CT State Rep. Rose Hosted Milford Day at the Capitol
Rep. Kim Rose invited Milford's legislative delegation to join her in an effort to encourage local businesses and organizations of Milford.

State Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford) hosted the first annual Milford Day at the State Capitol, and invited Milford’s legislative delegation to join her in an effort to welcome local businesses and organizations to come display some of what Milford has to offer.
Rep. Rose said, “When I started serving at the State Capitol, and noticed that various towns celebrate a special day at the capitol, I immediately knew that I wanted to do the same for Milford. I am especially grateful to my delegation members for co-hosting this event with me, and our local businesses that agreed to participate.”

“As we get ready to wrap up the 2016 Legislative Session, I thought it was fitting to invite the heart of our town to join us and share some of our treasures with the CT General Assembly,” Rep. Rose said.
More than a dozen businesses and organizations participated in this unique event, including Milford Bank, BIC, Schick, Milford Historical Society, Milford Arts Council and the DMBA (Downtown Milford Business Association), as well as Mayor Benjamin Blake.
