STAMFORD, CT — Members of law enforcement reportedly told Michelle Troconis during interrogation interviews that they feared for her life, following the disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, the New Canaan mother-of-five who vanished from her home on May 24, 2019.

During week two of Troconis' trial, prosecutors played the interviews for the jury, as they continued to paint the picture that Jennifer Dulos met a violent end to her life, and tried to link Troconis to the discarding of evidence.

Troconis is on trial for conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence and related charges in the disappearance and death of Jennifer Dulos; she has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Despite extensive searches, Jennifer Dulos' body has not been found, and a probate judge officially declared her dead last year.

The Independent reported that investigators confronted Troconis in the interviews that Fotis Dulos, her boyfriend at the time and Jennifer Dulos' estranged husband, "lies to everybody," and suggested that he could possibly do to Troconis what he was alleged to have done to Jennifer.

Fotis Dulos was arrested on kidnapping and murdering charges; he and Jennifer were in the midst of a bitter divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance. He never stood trial for the crime, because he took his own life in January 2020, several months following Jennifer's disappearance.

Prosecutors and investigators believe Fotis Dulos attacked his estranged wife in the garage of her New Canaan home on that day in May 2019, leaving behind blood stains that he allegedly tried to clean up.

The next day, Fotis, accompanied by Troconis, was seen on surveillance video discarding garbage bags. Police later recovered some of them, and they contained blood-soaked evidence, such as rags and clothing.

During week two of Troconis' trial, the jury were also shown much of this bloody evidence, which a spokesperson for Jennifer's family and friends said was a "brutal but also crucial" day of the trial.

Outside of court, Claudia Troconis, one of Michelle's sisters, defended Michelle, telling reporters that her sister is not guilty.

"I know that everyone wants answers, but my sister is not the right answer," Claudia Troconis said, as quoted by the Stamford Advocate. "She doesn't know anything and she's innocent."

The defense has tried to present Troconis as unaware of what was in the bags that Fotis Dulos was discarding during several stops during a trip in the Hartford area, according to the Greenwich Time.

Next week, Pawel Gumienny, a former employee of Fotis Dulos' luxury home building business, could testify, CT Insider reported.

Fotis Dulos borrowed Gumienny's pickup truck at the time of Jennifer's disappearance, and prosecutors believe the truck may have been used to transport her body.

Troconis' trial is estimated to last six weeks. She is one of two suspects in the case, the other being former attorney Kent Mawhinney, a former friend of Fotis Dulos, who, like Troconis, is accused of assisting Fotis in the murder plot and attempted cover up.
