NEW CANAAN, CT — The attorney representing Gloria Farber in the civil case against her estranged son-in-law, Fotis Dulos, is continuing a push for Michelle Troconis to testify, stressing that Troconis "abused" her Fifth Amendment rights during a recent deposition.

Troconis repeatedly invoked her Fifth Amendment privileges during the September exchange, a Constitutional right that a person can use if they believe their testimony could be used to incriminate them.

Gloria Farber is suing the husband of her missing daughter, Jennifer Farber Dulos, for payment of millions of dollars in loans for his luxury home building business, Fore Group. Fotis Dulos claims the money was a gift.

Farber's attorney, Richard Weinstein, contends that Troconis, Fotis Dulos' ex-girlfriend, has information about Fore Group that could be important to the civil case.

In a motion filed Thursday, Weinstein claims that Troconis has spoken to state prosecutors and state police multiple times in connection with the criminal cases against her and Fotis Dulos, so she should not be afforded Fifth Amendment rights.

Weinstein states that he will not ask Troconis any questions related to the ongoing criminal case, but will stick to matters related to the business dealings of Fotis Dulos and Fore Group.

"The plaintiff has every right to establish that Ms. Troconis had a frequent level of involvement in the affairs of the Fore Group and any benefits she received directly or indirectly from the Fore Group, i.e. the use of a motor vehicle; travel benefits, or other benefits all of which relate to the piercing claim directly or indirectly, and whether or not Fotis Dulos maintained true separate corporate identity for Fore Group and the sanctity of that corporation as opposed to using it as his personal piggy back [sic]," the motion reads.

Jennifer Dulos vanished on May 24, and Fotis Dulos and Troconis are facing charges in connection with the disappearance.

In addition to the civil case, Farber also is fighting Fotis Dulos in court in relation to the custody of his and Jennifer's five children. That case is pending.

She also is trying to foreclose on the Farmington mansion where Fotis Dulos lives, which was also where Jennifer Dulos lived before she moved to New Canaan and filed for divorce in 2017.
