NEW CANAAN, CT — Michelle Troconis was denied an emergency hearing by the state Appellate Court this week, after the defendant in the Jennifer Farber Dulos disappearance case sought the hearing in an effort to have her GPS tracking device removed.

Essentially, the Appellate Court agreed with prosecutors who argued the court did not have jurisdiction in the case because the lower Superior Court had not yet denied Troconis' request. Click here to read the Appellate Court's order.

In addition to having the GPS device removed, Troconis, who is due back in court on Aug. 6, also was seeking to have other conditions of her release on bond relaxed.

In addition to Troconis, attorney Kent Mawhinney, who remains in custody, have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the presumed killing of Jennifer Dulos. Her body has not been found following her disappearance in May 2019. Mawhinney's next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 3.
