Troconis Trial Date Pushed Back In Jennifer Dulos Case: Report
The trial of Michelle Troconis, one of two defendants in the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, will not start Monday as originally scheduled.

STAMFORD, CT — The trial of Michelle Troconis, one of the remaining defendants in the disappearance and presumed death of Jennifer Farber Dulos, has been pushed from Monday to Jan. 11 to allow for the selection of additional alternate jurors, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Troconis is facing conspiracy to commit murder charges in the case, and multiple jurors have been excused from Troconis' trial for various reasons before it begins.
The other defendant in the case is former attorney Kent Mawhinney, who is expected to testify against Troconis; a trial date for him has not yet been set. Both Mawhinney and Troconis have pleaded not guilty.

Jennifer Dulos, a mother of five, vanished from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019, but her body has not been found.
Her estranged husband, the late Fotis Dulos, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and murdering Jennifer, but he never stood trial in the case, because he died following a suicide attempt in January 2020.

The Duloses were going through a contentious divorce and custody battle at the time of her disappearance.
Troconis, Fotis' girlfriend at the time, and Mawhinney, a former friend of Fotis', are accused of helping him in the murder plot and attempted cover up.
Last month, a judge ruled that certain evidence can be used by the prosecution in Troconis' trial, while also deciding that a cell phone of hers cannot be admitted as evidence.
