Good Samaritan Rescued Kidnapped Children In New Haven
A mother is thanking a good Samaritan who helped her two children who were left on the side of the road.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A mother is thanking a woman who saved her children when she spotted them on the side of the road. FOX 61 reported that a nine-month-old girl and a five-year-old boy were in a car stolen Wednesday from in front of Roberto Clemente Elementary School at 360 Columbus Ave. in New Haven.
About an hour after the car was stolen, Kasandra Monteiro found the siblings on the side of the road at English Drive in East Rock. She said the baby was in the car seat and the boy was huddled with her, according to FOX 61.
She moved the children into her car and called the police.

Police are searching for a suspect in the case who was wearing a gray hoodie and stole a 2015 grey Mercedes SUV with the license plate AW-02025.
The mother had left her two kids in the parked car and when she returned, it had been stolen.
