Grand Opening Date Set For New Apple Store In The SoNo Collection

NORWALK, CT — The grand opening of the new Apple store in The SoNo Collection mall is set for Saturday, Feb. 15, officials announced in an email to customers on Tuesday.

"Visit Apple SoNo Collection at our new location, opening on February 15 at 10:00 a.m.," the note reads. Though a sign in the mall about the store's eventual arrival has been on display for weeks, The SoNo Collection's website has not yet listed the new store as of Feb. 11.

The email also includes a link to the page of the company's Stamford Town Center store on the Apple website. The SoNo Collection store is replacing Apple's Stamford location, which is scheduled to close.

Speculation began last year that the popular technology and consumer electronics store was moving to the new mall, another flagship retailer to join Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's.

Apple has several other stores in Connecticut in Greenwich, Danbury, Trumbull, New Haven, Farmington and South Windsor, and its full line of products also are sold in Best Buy stores.
