First Baptist Church announces Holy Week services

First Baptist Church of Southington, located at 581 Meriden Ave., has announced the worship services for Holy Week 2019, beginning with Palm Sunday and ending on Easter Sunday. The Rev. Sharon R. Holt will lead the services. The public is always welcome.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, the 10 a.m. worship service will include the distribution of palms.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., there will be a special service of remembrance, communion and prayer.

The Easter sunrise service will be held Sunday, April 21, 6:30 a.m., at the Merriman Cemetery, located on Marion Avenue at the corner of Nutmeg Drive, in the Marion section of Southington. If the weather is wet, it is recommended that worshippers wear boots and bring umbrellas.
The traditional Easter Sunday service will be held at 10 a.m. at the church and include special music, the Easter message and celebration.
