Wallingford Issues Cease-and-Desist Order to Oakdale Theatre for Permit Violations
Live Nation has filed an appeal and will state its case to the town's Zoning Board of Appeals in February.

Live Nation Worldwide Inc. will state its case to the Wallingford Zoning Board of Appeals in February after the town recently issued a cease-and-desist order to the Toyota Oakdale Theatre, claiming that the theatre is violating its permit by holding concerts in an area that was supposed to be used as a lobby, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports that numerous concerts have been held in “The Dome” which the town says was only supposed to be used as a lobby. The town also says the Oakdale is violating its permit by exceeding noise levels and using an unapproved parking area, according to the Record-Journal.
An attorney representing Live Nation told the Record-Journal that the town is misinterpreting the permit and they are trying to work with the town to come up with a solution.
