EASTON, CT — On Nov. 7, Easton residents cast their votes for a few key municipal positions. Contested races include first selectman and selectman and seats on the Board of Education.

Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your town clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

Town Clerk — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Whendi Cook Broderick, and Debbie Szegedi is running on the Republican ticket.

Town Treasurer — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Thomas F. Hughes, Jr. Christine Calvert is the Republican candidate.

Tax Collector — Vote for One

Republican Krista Kot is running unopposed.

Board of Finance — Vote for Up to Two

The Democratic candidates are Michael Gutowski and Arthur C. Laske III. Mark Mulvaney and Michael Kot are the Republican candidates.

Board of Education, Full Term — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Beth Natt. Jeff Parker is the Republican candidate.

Board of Education, to Fill Vacancy for Four Years — Vote for One

The Republican candidate Alicia Young is running unopposed.

Board of Assessment Appeals — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Scott Charmoy. John Miranda is the Republican candidate.

Zoning Board of Appeals — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Leny K. Wallen-Friedman. Tom Dollard is running on the Republican ticket.

Constables — Vote for Up to Four

The Democratic candidates are David Katz, Raymond J. Martin III and Irving Silverman. Anthony Battaglia, Anthony Farmer, Chris Peritore and Darin Silhavy are the Republican candidates.

Library Board — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Renee Neiger. A. Peter Dacey is the Republican candidate.

Region 9 Board of Education — Vote for Up to Two

The Democratic candidates are Jon Stinson and Karen O'Brien. Darin Bershefsky and Adam Dunsby are the Republican candidates.
