Alarm Testing Scheduled in Westport Schools

Westport, CT - The Westport School District and police department will test the alarm and voice alert systems in the schools beginning today, June 20, and concluding June 24.

"When the alarm testing begins, an alert will sound for approximately 5 minutes on both the internal and external horns at the school," officials wrote in a statement. "We wanted to inform the public of the scheduled testing, and not to be alarmed if they hear the audible alert coming from a school during this week long time period."
