New Charges For 2 Suspects From Westport Carjacking Incident: Police
The two suspects are accused of stealing a vehicle that they used in connection with the violent September 2023 carjacking of a luxury car.

WESTPORT, CT — Two Waterbury men, who arrested as suspects in a September 2023 carjacking case in Westport, have been charged with larceny in connection with a stolen vehicle the two are accused of using to commit the violent home invasion carjacking.
Vincys Baez, 20, and Garrett Gibbs, 22, were both arrested on April 3 at Stamford Superior Court and charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny.
The case stems from a report of a stolen vehicle a day before the carjacking incident, in which a Westport man was beaten while trying to fend off thieves who stole his luxury car.
