New Staples High School Principal Named
Westport has appointed one of their own for the position.

WESTPORT, CT- James D'Amico has been appointed as the new Staples High School principal.
D'Amico is currently the director of secondary education, according to Westport Now. He will take over for John Dodig who retired last year. The spot has been filled by Mark Karagus on an interim basis.
D'Amico will assume the principal role on June 1.

Superintendent Elliott Landon recommended D'Amico for the position to the Board of Education. D'Amico was one of three finalists for the position.
