• Two pieces tied to Windsor's Black history stolen from Freedom Trail sites (nhregister.com) — Windsor's Freedom Trail Committee is reeling after a memorial bench and a Connecticut Freedom Trail plaque honoring local Black history were stolen from two Windsor sites this month. Police are investigating, and community leaders say the thefts, coming alongside a stolen pride flag, feel especially troubling during the trail's 30th anniversary and Freedom Trail Month.
   

• CT police standards council recommends new rules on Flock cameras (ctpublic.org) — State police standards officials are proposing tighter rules on license plate readers and other surveillance tools after privacy concerns raised in towns including Windsor. The recommendations could shorten how long data is kept, add stricter access controls, and guide where cameras are placed. Windsor residents worried about Flock cameras may see these ideas shape new statewide legislation in January.
   

• Ledyard expected to take further steps in removal of Flock cameras (wfsb.com) — Ledyard officials are moving toward fully ending their use of Flock license-plate cameras after residents raised privacy concerns and the police chief recommended stopping data collection and removing the devices. For Windsor residents, it's notable that your town, along with Killingworth, has already removed the same cameras even as other communities like Milford continue to defend the technology.
