He still faces a misdemeanor offensive touching charge stemming from a May incident, which he denies, but the legislative inquiry will end when his term expires.

Wilmington Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Hatchet Attack (mychesco.com) — A 41-year-old Wilmington man has been charged with first-degree attempted murder after police say a man was critically injured in a hatchet attack on Maryland Avenue. Officers quickly located the suspect nearby, recovered a hatchet, and held him on substantial cash bail, while reminding residents that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

4. Claymont Man Charged After Cars Stolen From Wilmington Repair Shop (mychesco.com) — Two customer cars were allegedly stolen during a late-night burglary at Penny Hill Service and Repair Center on Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, and a Claymont man now faces multiple felony charges. Police recovered one vehicle in the city, arrested a suspect with the keys, and are still seeking a second person, asking Wilmington-area residents to share any information that could help the investigation.
   

5. Wilmington Woman Accused of Firing Shots Outside New Castle Bar (mychesco.com) — A 37-year-old Wilmington woman has been charged after Delaware State Police say she fired multiple shots at someone outside a New Castle sports bar early Sunday, though no one was hurt. Troopers say she retrieved a handgun from her vehicle after an argument and was later arrested, hospitalized for unrelated injuries, and held on $23,000 cash bond.
