Bomb Threats Cleared After Evacuations At 6 D.C. High Schools
The threats come one day after second gentleman Doug Emhoff was rushed out of Dunbar High School over a similar threat.
WASHINGTON, DC — Multiple high schools in Washington, D.C., were evacuated Wednesday due to bomb threats, just one day after second gentleman Doug Emhoff was rushed out of another school over a similar threat.
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the threats in a tweet. According to police, students and staff were evacuated from Dunbar, Roosevelt and Ron Brown high schools, as well as KIPP DC College Preparatory, IDEA Public Charter School, and Seed Public Charter School.
The all-clear was given just before 3 p.m., WTOP reported. The MPD tweeted that each of the schools has "been cleared, with no hazardous material found."

A D.C. police official told The Washington Post that investigators do not think the bomb threat made to Dunbar on Tuesday is related to recent threats made to Howard University and other historically Black colleges and universities.
