A Gainesville man was sentenced on Friday after he was convicted of giving classified military information to Russian intelligence officials, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. The man, Peter Rafael Dzibinski Debbins, was a former Army Green Beret who was accused of collaborating with Russian officials from 1996 to 2011.

The Marine Corps Marathon will be returning in 2021 as a live and in-person race on the last Sunday in October after the COVID-19 pandemic forced marathon organizers to hold a virtual race in 2020, race organizers said Tuesday.
