When asked whether he killed Ladonia Boggs, court documents say, Carl Jones responded: "If I did, would I be wrong for doing that?"
WASHINGTON, DC — A Washington, D.C., woman who disposed of her infant son's remains by throwing them in the trash was stabbed to death by the baby's father this week, authorities said.
On Wednesday, D.C. homicide detectives arrested Carl Jones, 44, in connection with the death of 39-year-old Ladonia Boggs, Patch reported earlier this week.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department found Boggs inside a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road. She had been stabbed and died at the scene, according to police.

According to the Post, when detectives asked Jones whether he killed Boggs, court documents say he responded: "If I did, would I be wrong for doing that?"
In May 2021, police accused Boggs of putting her 2-month-old son's remains in a trash can, according to a separate Washington Post report. While police ultimately decided not to charge Boggs with murder, she was charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Police did not say whether the baby's death was a motive in Boggs' death, the Post reported.
