$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Florida, Jackpot Swells To $1B

Nobody won Monday's $900 million jackpot, but tickets worth $1 million were sold in five states including a Tampa winner.

FLORIDA — Check your Powerball numbers, Florida. While nobody won Monday's $900 million drawing, a ticket worth $1 million was sold in the Sunshine State.

No one matched all six winning numbers — white balls 5, 8, 9, 17, 41, and red Powerball 21. However, a ticket sold in Florida matched all five white balls, making it worth $1 million.

The Florida Powerball winner bought their ticket at the Food Mart at 5247 South MacDill Avenue in Tampa, WFLA reported.

Four similar tickets were also sold in Connecticut, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and New York, according to Powerball's website.

Tickets worth $2 million — meaning they matched all five white numbers while using the Power Play option — were sold in three states, including Georgia, Arkansas and Texas.

Since no one matched all six winning numbers, the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is an estimated $1 billion. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET.
