Parrish Man Died Days After I-75 Crash With Tractor-Trailer Truck: FL Troopers
A Parrish man died days after being injured in an I-75 crash with a tractor-trailer truck that made an illegal U-turn, FL troopers said.
SUN CITY CENTER, FL — A Parrish man died Wednesday, days after a crash with a tractor-trailer truck that made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 75, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened Monday as northbound traffic moved slowly on the highway around 4:30 p.m. because of an unrelated vehicle fire near the Sun City Center exit.
The truck’s driver made an illegal U-turn to head south on I-75 at mile marker 235, near the Hillsborough and Manatee county line, FHP said.

The tractor-trailer drove into the path of a Toyota Corolla driven by the 28-year-old Parrish man and was hit by the car.
The car’s driver was brought to an area hospital with serious injuries and later died.

The truck’s driver, 45-year-old Julio Dones Rosa of Citrus Springs, was uninjured in the crash. Troopers arrested him, charging him with reckless driving involving serious injury.
